Joel and the Vigorous team are awesome. We were really impressed by their professionalism, speed of execution, quality, cleanliness, and flexibility throughout our zen garden backyard remodel project. They were super respectful and cleaned up the site after each day’s work. We found Joel very flexible and easy to work with. The Vigorous team completed the job in 5 days where the other landscaper we were considering quoted ~30 days (about the same price). Overall, very happy with the way our backyard turned out and would 10/10 recommend and work with the Vigorous team again.

Vigorous Landscaping is exactly what our backyard needed. Before Joel and his team came into our lives, our family was stuck with a forest and an unmanageable hillside that we couldn't enjoy in our backyard. Luckily, a friend referred us to Joel and our backyard transformation that was once a dream finally turned into reality. The moment Joel and his designer conjured up an awesome 3D rendering that met all our needs and then some, we knew they were the ones to get this huge job done.

The whole crew from Vigorous was so on point with everything. They were the nicest, most helpful and attentive crew that we've had the pleasure to work with. My wife and I were extremely impressed with how fast and efficient they were, including being meticulous and precise with their craft. The crew were always on time and never deferred from the timeline for the job. The foremen, Mario and Cesar were very easy to work and communicate despite the slight language barrier. Joel and his leads provided us great ideas on how to get around issues that we ran into and helped troubleshoot along the way, so that we didn't have to break the bank. Joel is the type of person who stands by the quality of his product and is very much a perfectionist, which we absolutely appreciated . The project turned out so amazing and our family couldn't be any happier. We are currently doing our backyard in phases and phase 1 was an absolute success. I mean look at those tiers that they created, that nice concrete basketball court and those sexy pavers and smooth retaining wall. Joel went above and beyond anything that we could have wanted in a contractor and will definitely contact him again to finish up what we started with our home. I absolutely recommend Joel and Vigorous Landscaping for any type of landscaping needs that you may have, they are the best!

We were lucky to have found Joel and his fantastic team of workers by chance when our neighbors were having their yard re-done. We noticed his workers were doing nice quality work and were always working hard. We had his team replace our backyard fence on both sides and ended up having him fix our dilapidated back garden retaining wall; In addition he did the front wall that had a crack going through it, and he came up with a great idea to put stacked stone veneer on the wall to repair it. We are so happy with the work they did, I have referred them to friends already and I highly recommend this team if you are looking for a fence or a nice backyard makeover. The putting green he did for our friend was amazing also. Thank you to all for working so hard and doing a terrific job. First, I would like to thank God for leading to Vigorous Landscaping. I hired Joel to cut my large walnut tree. I love that Joel's company is family owned. Joel's dad was so friendly and his other worker was friendly too. It was not that they cut my walnut tree, but they took time out to help me understand how they were going to cut the walnut tree a certain way and why. After they finished branches was no longer on my neighbors side of the fence. The walnut tree looks so amazing and I still have shade from the tree too. Another thing, Joel was so nice even when he had to deal with my contractor who was not so understanding and friendly. Joel and his team built us a patio with a pergola in our backyard. They had to dig up a lot of dirt, carry it through my bottom floor all with small buckets. Once the dirt was removed they built a beautiful deck for us. His team was fast, responsive and very professional. I would highly recommend them for any of your backyard needs.

I cannot say enough about Joel and his team at Vigorous Landscaping. My backyard was ignored for the last 15 years and I finally decided to make the investment and clean it all up. From initial contact Joel was responsive, professional, and most importantly honest and straight-forward. I shared my design ideas, he shared his expertise, and once we locked down a schedule (he held a spot for me despite not being under contract) we were on our way. My project included replacing all 3 sides of fence, excavation of a lot of dirt, artificial turf, and a 2 tiered yard to accommodate an existing condition.

The Vigorous team showed up each day and completed the job in 2 weeks. Their foreman was great and Joel showed up almost daily to check on progress and ease any concerns or questions I had. The quality of work was excellent and surpassed my expectations. My neighbors whom I share the fences with were all very pleased and admired the teams efficiency. Overall an easy 5 *'s for Joel and Vigorous, I can't recommend them enough. Thanks again guys, I love my backyard!

Joel and team were simply outstanding from beginning to end. I engaged Joel after I had completed a landscape design and that really helped us get on the same page. He immediately assessed the job and came out numerous times to ensure we were synced up on the job at hand. I was also doing a pool, but Joel worked very well with my pool contractor in coordinating all of the steps necessary to ensure both projects were moving along. His responsiveness was stellar and didn't matter what time of day, he would always get back to me. He also advised us what might look better and always provided options for us to think about. We've been meaning to get both our front and backyards redone for years but couldn't find the right landscaper for various reasons. However I came across VL via Instagram for a consultation. I must say, from what we initially discussed then to how everything ended up coming out at the end, Joel and his team delivered on all of that and then some! We had a backyard that was just all concrete and weeds, but they were able to install a custom shaped pergola, artificial grass, long sitting bench/retaining wall and a custom fenced dog run for our 2 pit bulls.

We definitely appreciate that the team completed the work with impeccable timing and excellent craftsmanship, but one of the most important things I observed was they cleaned up after themselves every day after working so that our dogs could roam the backyard and not have us worried about random nails or wood chips hurting their paws. Definitely would recommend them for any landscaping needs.

Joel and his crew are really, really great. They totally renewed my yard after years of neglect. They took on some very difficult challenges and rebuilt a huge dilapidated fence, installed several new retaining walls, replaced concrete steps, and replaced raised planters - and did a terrific job. Joel is incredibly reasonable and easy to work with, and he provided innovative solutions for some really sticky situations in my yard. We hired Joel to revamp our front yard. He came out with his father for a few initial consultations before the work began to help us narrow down exactly what we wanted, working within a budget and scheduling. We had a number of obstacles and challenges, including a legacy irrigation system, lots of concrete, old trees and a sloped area that we wanted leveled. Not only did Joel and his crew address all of these issues, but they did it considerably faster than we expected (often working in the rain and even on Saturdays).
